How we engage
What an engagement looks like, before you commit to one
Most organizations that call us have never bought independent governance advice before. This page sets out how a mandate starts, how it is priced, and what you are left with when it ends, so the first conversation can be about your portfolio rather than about us.
Four steps, in order
-
01
A confidential first conversation.
Forty-five minutes, no preparation required. You describe what prompted the call: a contract nobody has independently reviewed, a portfolio decision waiting on a capital plan, a leadership gap. We tell you plainly whether we are the right fit, and if we are not, who might be.
-
02
A fixed-scope diagnostic.
Where the situation warrants it, we propose a bounded first mandate with a defined scope, deliverable and timeline, quoted in writing before any work starts. The 90-day integrated facilities management contract audit and the portfolio health check are the two most common starting points.
-
03
A written proposal you can put in front of finance.
Scope, approach, deliverables, timeline, fee and the assumptions behind it, on a few pages. If the diagnostic finds nothing worth acting on, the engagement ends there, and you keep the findings.
-
04
Delivery, then transfer.
Every mandate is led personally by the founder. It ends with your team holding the models, templates and governance routines we built, and able to run them without us.
How mandates are priced
Every Noyau Bleu mandate is paid for by the organization that receives the advice, and by no one else.
- Fixed-fee, fixed-scope mandates for diagnostics, audits, strategies and business cases. The fee is quoted in writing before work starts and does not change unless the scope does, by written agreement.
- Monthly retainers for fractional leadership and retained supplier-governance roles, with a defined number of days, a reporting line and a notice period.
- No contingency, success or gain-share fees. An advisor paid a share of the savings has a reason to recommend the cut that pays most, not the one that serves you best.
- No fees from any third party. No commissions, referral fees, reseller margins or implementation-partner payments, from anyone, ever. Our independence charter sets out the full policy.
- Savings and benefits are measured against a baseline agreed with your finance team before the work starts, so what we report is what your controller can verify.
What you receive
- Findings you can put in front of your audit committee: every recommendation carries the number, the source and the assumption behind it.
- Board- and CFO-ready documents, not slide decks that need translating into a business case afterwards.
- The working models, templates and dashboards we build, in your hands and in your formats.
- Delivery in French or English at a native level, and in both where your organization needs it.
Working with your existing teams
Independent advice only works if it strengthens the people who have to live with it.
- Real estate and facilities. We work with your head of real estate, not around them. Our evidence is designed to help them win the argument with finance, and we report through the existing structure.
- Procurement. Procurement owns the process. We bring category expertise, audit method and independent evaluation, inside your procurement policy and delegation of authority.
- Finance. Baselines, business-case methodology and benefits tracking are agreed with your finance team, so nothing we report has to be re-derived.
- Legal. We sign your non-disclosure agreement and your supplier code of conduct before we see a contract.
Confidentiality and continuity
An audit means sharing supplier contracts and pricing. That data is held under your non-disclosure agreement, used for your mandate only, and never reused for another client or for benchmarking without your explicit, written consent. Noyau Bleu is a founder-led practice: where a programme needs technical depth we do not hold in-house, specialists are engaged on your contract, not ours, under the same independence rule, and you always know who is doing the work.
